The Tingathe Geni programme has been designed to engage vulnerable people, with a 60/40 participation ratio in favor of women from the age of 20 to 40 in the community who are conducting or aspiring to conduct micro and small businesses.

The six-week training covers an 18-session module that equips peri-urban people with personal leadership, business management, financial literacy, child protection, sexual and reproductive health, as well as human rights knowledge and skills to thrive and exponentially increase their income.

The course focuses on equipping groups with skills in the production of Charcoal briquettes and cooking oil. Tingathe provides the groups with access to machinery for the production of these goods at our community offices, thus enabling these groups to commence producing products that provide immediate returns but also have a tremendously positive effect on the ecology of the community.
