Today, we hosted a workshop with women who have benefited from our Tingathe Geni (formerly Azimai Tingathe Geni) Programme in Mtandire as part of celebrating International Women’s Day.

During the workshop, we had the privilege of hearing different success stories of how women are participating in various development activities that are pushing their communities forward. Some are successful entrepreneurs, others hold leadership roles, and some are child protection workers, among other inspiring roles.

One exciting aspect of the event was our discussion on how we can promote gender equality, empower women, and dismantle social and cultural norms that hinder women’s participation in different developmental activities.

At the end of the workshop, we collectively committed to investing in women and championing gender equality, envisioning a world free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusivity, where differences are not only accepted but celebrated. Happy International Women’s Day to all the women out there!
