Martin Mbewe is a multimedia journalist and development communications specialist currently serving as the Communications and Programmes Coordinator at Tingathe Malawi. He is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) RLC–South Africa alumnus.
Martin believes in the power of communication to create awareness, promote behaviour change, initiate policy dialogue on both local and global challenges and help build a fairer and more sustainable future for all. With a background in journalism, he has held various roles, including working as a current affairs reporter with the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation and supporting communications work with Cure International and the Ministry of Agriculture’s Communications Branch, where he contributed to public engagement and strategic storytelling.
Martin has published several thought pieces on social issues, including climate change and education.
