Today, Tingathe participated in the launch of the Civil Society Social Protection Network (CSSPN) Strategic Plan 2025–2030 at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe. The event brought together key stakeholders, including the embassies of Germany and Ireland, development partners, representatives from the Government of Malawi, and various civil society organisations. The goal was to raise awareness about the role civil society plays in implementing social protection programs and to present key priority areas for partnership with development and implementing partners.
Tingathe was honoured to be part of this important occasion, along with some of our beneficiaries from the Eco-briquettes Project and the Tingathe Vocational Training Program. These beneficiaries, who are now running businesses in their communities, represent the impact of our work in promoting social protection in Malawi.
We had the opportunity to showcase our contributions to social protection, including a pavilion where we displayed and sold products made by our beneficiaries, such as eco-briquettes and items from the tailoring and fashion design made by our alumni. This exposure allowed our beneficiaries to make sales and establish new markets for their products, which we believe will help grow their businesses and strengthen their communities.
We are confident that the lessons and connections made today will take them even further. Thank you, Civil Society Social Protection Network, for inviting us to be part of this event.
