A dream that began some eight years ago with the founders of Tingathe, Aubrey and Sarah Lindeire, has now come true. We are excited to announce the completion of the Tingathe One Stop Center in Mtandire, one of our major milestones and most important projects for 2024. This center is a vision realized for us at Tingathe, and it brings tears of joy to our eyes as we look back and see it manifest in reality.
When we see it now, we see it as a symbol of hope, growth, and our commitment to community empowerment and transformation. With this center, we have brought all our innovative training courses and programs under one roof, providing an accessible resource for the community.
This achievement would not have been possible without the support of our partners, Imago Dei and the Segal Family Foundation (SFF). Their generous support and belief in our vision have made this dream a reality.
The center features office space, training rooms, and greenhouses, supporting our mission to enhance education and agricultural practices. It also houses facilities for eco-briquette making, oil pressing, and interlocking block production, each contributing to our sustainable development initiatives.
It will also have an event garden, an early childhood development center, a playground, a library, and a study room. Each of these facilities aims to create a conducive environment for learning, growth, and community engagement.
Looking ahead, we plan to make an events garden designed to host community gatherings and celebrations. We will also establish an Early Childhood Development (ECD) programme, further expanding our impact and support for the youngest members of our community.
Our focus remains on empowering young people, women in small businesses, and school-going children by imparting various skills that enable them to thrive in their communities and contribute to the development of our nation.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on our journey of changing the lives of peri-urban people in Malawi.
