This morning, we held a meeting with community leaders from our catchment areas of Lilongwe West, East, and North where we assessed the impact of our programmes on their communities. The meeting took place at Zagwa Area in Mtandire.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the relationship with the leaders so that they should be advocates and promoters of our programmes as well as custodians of the permanent behaviour change activities we implement in their communities.
The meeting brought together over 40 leaders comprising chiefs, religious leaders, community police, and block leaders among others.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders, the representative of Senior Chief Njewa Ledson Jalisi appreciated Tingathe for the work we are doing in his area under our programs: Tingathe Training Program, Children’s Life Skills Program, and Azimai Tingathe Geni Women Business School. He further expressed commitment to continue supporting us where among others he said he will encourage people from his area to take part in our programmes activities so that the area should develop.
As Tingathe we expect that our relationship with the community leaders will continue to grow so that together we should build wealth that sticks and develop the country.
