Partners Tour Tingathe’s Eco-Briquettes Training Centres

Yesterday, we held a stakeholder visitation session for our Eco-Briquettes Project!

We were happy to welcome partners from DVV International, Chimbalame Zone Youth Network, journalists from Times 360 Malawi and Zodiak Broadcasting Station, and community leaders, including Senior Group Village Headman Kanyemba from Mtandire, Lilongwe.

The visitors toured our Tingathe offices and also visited Chitimbe CCAP in Mtsiliza and Zagwa Zatha training centers to see how 304 women are learning to make eco-briquettes. These visits helped our partners understand how the project works and how it is changing lives in the community.

They also had a chance to talk with our team and the women in the program, who shared their stories about how the training is helping them earn money and protect the environment. These women participants are from cohorts 1A and 1B of the project and are expected to graduate on May 7, 2025.

Stakeholder visits are very important because they help us share progress, get feedback, and build and strengthen relationships with our partners and community.

This initiative is made possible through funding from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF), allocated by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) under the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Thank you to our partners for the visit.
