On March 1, 2025, our Tailoring and Fashion Design students attended a Date with a Mentor session at Mhub in Lilongwe. The event was organized by Glow Motivation, and the purpose was to provide a platform for young fashion enthusiasts to connect with industry leaders and network with peers.

One of the highlights of the session was an interaction with renowned fashion designer Lilly Alfonso, who shared her story of how she transformed her dreams into reality.  Beyond learning from Lilly Alfonso, our students also had the chance to engage with their peers in the fashion industry, exchanging ideas and experiences. Such interactions are important in helping young designers build confidence, grow their professional networks, and stay motivated in their craft.

At Tingathe, we believe in exposing our students to real-world experiences that inspire and challenge them to reach greater heights. We are grateful to Glow Motivation for organizing such a valuable event and to Lilly Alfonso for sharing her story and wisdom. We are confident that our students left the session empowered with renewed passion and determination to excel in the fashion industry.
