Today, our peri-urban horticulture students visited Never Ending Food, a permaculture farm located in Chitedze, Lilongwe. The farm was founded by Stacia and Kristof Nordin, and it promotes sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental conservation. Never Ending Food integrates natural farming methods that enhance biodiversity, restore soil health, and encourage using locally available resources for long-term food production.
The purpose of this educational visit was to expose our students to sustainable and resource-efficient farming techniques that can be replicated in their communities. At Tingathe, we highly value such learning opportunities as they provide hands-on experience and equip students with practical skills to improve food production while taking care of the environment.

Under the guidance of Farm Manager Peter Kaniye, the students toured the farm and explored various aspects of permaculture. They learned about permaculture ethics, compost manure and liquid fertilizer preparation, intercropping, vertical gardening, permaculture zoning, fish farming, and vegetable drying techniques to preserve nutrition, among many other sustainable practices. It was an eye-opening experience that deepened their understanding of regenerative agriculture.
We extend our gratitude to Peter Kaniye and the owners of Never Ending Food, Stacia and Kristof Nordin, for welcoming our students and generously sharing their knowledge. We believe that what the students have learned from this visit will benefit them and their communities by promoting sustainable and resilient food systems.
